![]() I'm about 13 hours in and I just find myself rolling my eyes more and more. I'm starting to understand why some of the people I listen to on various podcasts (Vinny C, Mike Mahardy, etc) are not too psyched about the game. It feels more like "There is a chest here, so lets put two Wulvers there and call it a day" It rarely feels like thought went into the encounters & the devs asked themselves questions like "what is the purpose of this encounter? How is it unique? How is it going to engage the player?". a combat system like GoW (2018 & R) you need engaging enemies/encounters because the combat system is so shallow, but the majority of fights in this game are just the same thing over and over again. Reusing enemies/mini bosses from the first game (already bored of fighting). ![]() mechanics like immolation -> this means that the best way to deal with tanky enemies is to frost/burn them, then burn/frost them The game still heavily rewards spamming R1 w.Enemies are largely just chucked into arenas at random. Encounters are repetitive -> Most of the games encounter blur together, because they aren't carefully designed. ![]()
